Seasoned Leaders will discuss current themes and trends in college admissions and how to apply what you’ve learned and discussed in our previous two sessions to the current admissions landscape.

Two experienced college counselors will lead a discussion on the search for the “right” college, including where to begin, what to consider, and how to proceed.

How important are the academic program, class rank, GPA, standardized testing, essays, interviews, and letters of recommendation? What about special talent, alumni legacy, geography, and intended field of study? Seasoned members of our profession will discuss the selection process.

Sharing Your Voice and Writing in the College Essay (rising senior students only)

How do you share your true authentic voice in the application process?  A look at the various ways to share your story, from the college essay to short answer responses to other areas of applications.

College Search 101 (rising junior students and younger only)

With over 5,300 colleges and universities in the United States, how do you even begin to narrow down where to start? A conversation about how to take the first steps in identifying where you can go with your college search.

Take all that you’ve learned on Saturday and put it into practical application during this session.  We will provide you with mock applications and ask your break-out session to make admissions decisions based on the materials provided and the material covered the day before.
