Budget
If your travel course comes at an additional cost to the student, please use this to help. The Registrar’s Office will need the per-student cost to include in the course listing.
Before starting the budget, you should be able to answer the following questions:
- Are you using a third-party provider? If so, what is the fee?
- Are student meals included in this fee, and if so, how many?
- Are transportation and/or site visits included in the provider’s program fee, or will those need to be budgeted for separately?
Considerations
- What is the duration of the trip?
- How will students travel to the intended location?
- What accommodations will be provided for students?
- What is your contingency plan if a faculty/staff member or student becomes incapacitated or accommodations are no longer available?
- What is your communications plan in the event of an emergency?
- Have you and your student downloaded the Live Safe App downloaded on their devices prior to traveling?
- Have you reviewed the W&L Emergencies in Off-campus Programs Emergency Management Plan?
