Internships and Experiences

Brick sidewalk on the Colonnade

Internships and other extra-curricular experiences during the summer or academic year give students an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-life experiences, meet others working in fields they are interested in, and to learn about themselves. The CBSC Internships and Volunteer Opportunities page provides names of organizations, companies, and sectors that CBSC students and alumni have worked with and offer internships, volunteer opportunities, and/or paid positions.

Each summer, one W&L CBSC major joins The Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities as an intern. The student is chosen by W&L CBSC faculty from interested majors. A call for student applications happens late Fall term.
