Office of Health Promotion

The Office of Health Promotion provides students with programs and information about alcohol and other drugs, healthy relationships including sexual misconduct and sexual harassment, nutrition, stress management, mental health, and self-care. 

The goal of the Office of Health Promotion is to encourage students to make safe and healthy choices through science-based information.

The Office of Health Promotion:

  • Advocates for campus policies which promote the creation of a healthier campus environment;
  • Works directly with the Being Well W&L program to establish a culture of well-being, community members being agents of their own well-being, and to develop connection and belonging;
  • Offers educational outreach programs, awareness activities, and dynamic speakers, in collaboration with student organizations or other campus departments and offices;
  • Coordinates the electronic magazine CampusWell;
  • Offers individual student appointments;
  • Coordinates the Bystander Intervention program;
  • Offers on-line health assessments;
  • Provides referrals to ;
  • Provides online education – Binge Thinking and You Got This! for first-year students;
  • Conducts assessments of campus health trends.
  • Provides training, resources, and educational materials;
  • Conducts alcohol and other wellness programs for student organizations;
  • Advises SPEAK (a peer organization educating students about sexual misconduct), the Campus Community Coalition (CCC) and other student organizations.
